The Adult Education program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) held pinning ceremonies at all six campus locations on Wednesday, April 26, to induct honorees into the National Adult Education Honor Society (NAEHS).
Inductees received a certificate and pin, as well as two letters of recommendation - one to a potential employer and one to a post-secondary institution. In addition, a special gold cord will be worn by the student when they graduate in recognition of membership in the NAEHS.
The Adult Education program at GNTC provides education for adults whose education was interrupted in earlier years. They assist adults in acquiring the skills and credentials to validate their level of education through GED® Testing. GNTC’s Adult Education program also offers transition counseling to assist with college or career aspirations.
The mission of the National Adult Education Honor Society is to provide meaningful recognition to deserving adult education students, to improve student employment opportunities, to develop student ambassadors for local adult education programs and to create adult education awareness with school administrators and state legislators.
Georgia Northwestern Technical College provides quality workforce education to the citizens of Northwest Georgia.
