High school students from across the northwest Georgia region and members of the community will get a chance to explore various industrial careers and skilled trades when Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) holds its second Industrial Career Day of the year on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Whitfield Murray Campus in Dalton.
Approximately 800 regional high school students and members of the community attended GNTC’s first Industrial Career Day of the year on the Floyd County Campus in Rome on Sept. 13. The second Industrial Career Day in Dalton was added due to popular demand.
The activities for the Oct. 18 Industrial Career Day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at GNTC’s new state-of-the-art Whitfield Murray Campus Expansion. There will be demonstrations, simulators and hands-on learning activities for the industrial programs offered by GNTC. Local employers also will be present to speak with participants about the benefits of learning a skilled trade.
