The LAA-Mohawk Scholarship Program 

This year, the Latin American Association, with the sponsorship of Mohawk Industries, Inc., will select six outstanding students as recipients from a broad and talented pool of applicants from Georgia Northwestern Technical College.

• GNTC students from any program are eligible to apply for the LAA-Mohawk Scholarship of $1,000.
• The LAA-Mohawk Scholarship application due date is midnight on November 3, 2024. Applicants will be advised of their application status by November 13, 2024.

Award

Scholars are selected based on need and merit. The award amount is $1,000 and will be applied to tuition, fees, and related educational expenses.

• Must be involved in the Hispanic community in one or more of the following ways: heritage, involvement, volunteerism, language, and support.
• Must be a resident of Floyd County, Gordon County, Murray County, or Whitfield County.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA recipient.
• Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application.
• Must be a GNTC student in good standing and enrolled full-time or part-time for the 2024-2025 academic year.
• Must complete a 250-500 word essay explaining involvement in the Hispanic community and how the LAA-Mohawk scholarship will benefit them.

Students must apply through AwardSpring between October 7 and November 3, 2024.
